Position Overview:
The Learning and Development coordinator is an experienced instructional designer for online learning who thrives in a dynamic, fastpaced environment, and who will inspire and train our academic teams. This person will use innovative techniques, best practices, and creative vision to deliver training to our academic teams worldwide. The Learning and Development Coordinator will collaborate with the greater Academic team to ensure that academic quality is maintained and that the continual development of teachers and tutors leads to excellence in teaching thereby contributing to student success.

Essential Job Duties:
● Reviews and identifies gaps in current training programs, provides recommendations, and determines potential training opportunities for future development.
● Collaborates with stakeholders to assess training needs and develop implementation plans.
● Creates annual training calendar.
● Creatively designs, develops, and/or refines effective eLearning training materials for teachers, including new teacher orientation, best practices in the classroom, new tool training, etc.
● Applies adult learning methodologies and principles to course designs.
● Applies research and best practices for designing quality learning modules.
● Partners with the Academic Operations team to track and report on training activities and course evaluations to support compliance requirements
● Provides support to Academic Operations by conducting a thorough needs analysis for requested training, creating scripts and storyboards for review and approval, developing creative training solutions per scoped requirements, and implementing training on time.
● Provides assessment data to stakeholders on teacher training results.
● Manages a library of modules for the continuing professional development process.
● Works in a variety of mediums – including print, webinars, videos, eLearning, and Moodle courses – to deliver curriculum and materials that are appealing, interactive, and useful for our target audience.
● Develops innovative ways of communicating with teachers on a regular basis.
● Facilitates collaborative, crossfunctional decisionmaking processes.
● Ensures that all deliverables meet schedule, resource, and quality goals.
● Employs rapid course development methodologies.
● Exhibits exceptional interpersonal communication skills to foster and strengthen relationships with team members and management to support training initiatives.
● Collaborate with academic stakeholders to develop teacher learning communities and define goals and assessment plan.
● Manages multiple ongoing projects and demonstrates excellent organization skills. Minimum Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in education, training, instructional design, or related field
● 3+ years experience designing instruction for online learning
● Experience using at least one authoring tool such as Articulate, Storyline, Captivate, Lectora, etc.
● Proficient in office software applications for example, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Productivity Apps like Docs and Sheets, etc.
● Knowledge of adult learning theory
● Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills
● Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)
● Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
● Experience developing curriculum for professional adults
● Experience working with remote teams
● Effective at problem solving
● Creative, innovative, can do mindset
● Existing portfolio of training materials
● Good vibes and a sense of humor
● Spanish Language native fluency
● English Language working proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:
● Master’s Degree in education, training, instructional design, or related field.
● HTML5 experience
● Photoshop experience
● Graphic design experience
