Open Education “the largest e-learning company in Latin America” is looking for a talented technical support analyst lead to join our successful and growing Engineering team. There are many hard operational problems to be solved, and we are looking for motivated people to help us solve them. This position plays a key role in shaping the rapidly evolving e-learning sales and services offering. Using your communications and technical skills and deep understanding of large organizations operations, you will be working in a fast paced and highly agile environment, as you support sales, services, finance agents and software engineers. The Development support lead should be a software professional with the primary focus of bringing support to internal clients as well as development teams, resolving issues from operations and testing, documenting and escalating them to software engineering when necessary. He/she also will provide support to tech team on escalated issues as well as gets involved with all kind of systems to get problems resolved.
 
Requirements
● Ability to execute integration testing of software applications developed using varios technologies.
● Experience in relational databases (SQL, MySQL , Oracle or PostgreSQL).
● Experience with testing complex, multi-platform, distributed applications
● Effective oral and writing communication skills for interacting with multiple audiences (technical and non technical).
● Strong customer service orientation.
● Experience with SOAP, REST, Webservices, Tomcat, XML, Json, and Integration technologies
● 5 plus years working experience of testing tools and techniques
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience escalating bugs, test scripts, and associated documentation
● Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
● Experience in Salesforce or other CRMs*.
● Experience in consuming and link data from different DBs and/or DataWarehouse ** preferred, not mandatory
 
Responsibilities:
● Interact with and act as a link between internal users and engineering teams to resolve production issues. Strong capability to summarize data as an input for engineering team to test and solve production bugs.
● Understand business flows over different Web Services, HTTP, JMS, JEE application servers, and many types of software in order to identify the root cause of an issue.
● Reproduce issues and provide a practical solution or document, prioritize and escalate to software engineering team when necessary
● Be able to understand logs from different systems and identify trends and pertinent data for issues and failures.
● Collaborate with experts in other fields, such as Engineering, ProductOperations and Sales
● Troubleshoot core platforms issues and determine source, and advise on appropriate mitigation actions and workarounds when necessary.
● Design and execute SQL queries for data validation and test execution
● Manage the internal documentation/user manuals and document resolutions, configurations and learned lessons for future reference.
● Keep on track actions to minimize threats and risks and maximize the early detection of potential issues.
● Define workarounds to solve specific problems when required.
● Document and interpret business and technical requirements for testing utilizing
various development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.)
