Position Overview:

Open Education is hiring a Project Manager to focus on executing projects within the innovation arm of the business, Open Labs. In this role you will be working cross-functionally to establish tests, iterating, and leading startup initiatives daily alongside a small team, including, the CEO, CMO, SVP of Product, VP of Strategy. You will combine digital content management tactics (SEO, PPC, social, video, etc.) with a basic understanding of front-end and back-end coding. The ideal candidate is both an analytical and creative thinker, who can generate results in revenue, customer acquisition, traffic, and conversions.
  • Own process, end to end, of validating Open Education’s products for the consumer – through partnerships, marketing, new feature sets
  • Drive customer and user acquisition, activation, retention, and upsell for new products through an agile approach to campaign development and deployment
  • Work cross-functionally with developers, designers, analysts, product managers, and operations to design and execute growth initiatives and product changes
  • Define growth objectives by: identifying which layers of the funnel should be optimized; quantifying and understanding progress against goals through the selection of KPIs; and developing reports for consumption across the organization
  • Generate ideas for initiatives to create growth in virtually all functions in the organization
  • Implement a framework for prioritizing growth-specific product improvements, and organizing the testing rhythm
  • Ensure the right data infrastructure is in place for continual improvement of results, using A/B testing with Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics in partnership with the BI and Marketing teams, to provide dashboards and testing tools as services across the organization
  • Provide customer insight to the Product team to help prioritize product roadmaps, by blending data with a deep understanding of user needs, habits, and perceptions developed through targeted interviews, usability studies, and customer feedback
  • Must be based in our Coconut Grove, FL, office and work authorization in the U.S. is required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or applicable business experience
  • Understanding of acquisition channels to reach target audiences: Email, Facebook, Google, SEO, Twitter
  • Enough HTML/CSS/JS skills to be able to set up A/B testing (or at least to manage someone to do it)
  • A knack for statistical reasoning, and quantitative intuition for interpreting user experience data
  • A creative and strategic thinker that understands how to design effective experiments
  • Has the ability to learn new skills quickly
  • A natural leader able to align all market-facing functions to a shared growth objective without direct authority, and able to build a growth team whose culture is suited to the challenging and experimental nature of the work
